Wendy Frost
NHS Dietitian and triathlete with T1D
As a triathlete and NHS diabetes dietitian with type 1 diabetes, I found this book invaluable. Clear sections and headings make it both educational and practical. It balances technical facts with accessibility, covering topics like female athletes and food-related anxiety. The diagrams and 'Final Word' summaries are especially helpful. A must-have for anyone with type 1 diabetes or healthcare professionals.
Dr Christophe Kosinski, MD
Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève (HUG), Geneva, Switzerland
This comprehensive guide bridges the gap between scientific research and practical application for people with T1D who want to be physically active. Sam and Simon have done an excellent job in providing factual information on how exercise affects glucose regulation and diabetes management. It's nice to read, very practical and accurate, with an evidence-based approach.
